Leela Briggs is a junior in high school in Brooklyn, New York. In school her favorite subject is English because in that subject almost anything can happen. The love for this subject has sparked an interest in working at the Ditmas Examiner and made her the creative personal that we at the Examiner know and love. She has an older sibling who has taught her maturity and given her a love for sharing. Leela is honest, creative and funny.

Janay Davison, born Feb 6, 2002, is an 11th grader at Brooklyn College Academy. She enjoys hanging out with friends and loves classes with wild teachers. True to her Aquarius zodiac sign, Janay seems to understand the significance of social support. She is loud, alive, and friendly. In fact, she even describes herself as a mitochondria, the powerhouse of a cell. It’s true that she is the powerhouse of any room she walks into. Janay will bring a lot of spicy new perspectives to the Examiner. 

Camryn Holder is a 16-year-old who is both creative and weird with a diverse taste in music. Camryn’s favorite subjects and English, history and art, and her favorite colors are blue, black,and red. In her spare time, her hobby is drawing,and if given a super power she would want the abilities of teleportation and speed.

Callie Lovekin is a seventh grader who attends Mark Twain I.S. 239 for media talent. Callie plays lacrosse and loves photography, and music. Callie would describe herself as creative, energetic, positive and cheerful.

Ryan Maxwell was born April 23. Fifteen-year-yold Ryan enjoys scrolling though social media, listening to Nicki Minaj and watching Netflix in his off time. He describes himself as truthful, sensitive and outgoing. When he gets older, he plans to get married and earn his living as a music professor. He hopes to help bring awareness and passion to his writing.

Aleek Ray is very determined and hopeful. He is 14 years old, in 9th grade and his favorite color is blue. In his free time he likes to play video games and watch cartoons. If he could have any superpower, it would be  the ability to clone himself. Aleek is open to any music genrs and listens to anything that sounds pleasing to him. He enjoys going to school and his favorite subject is English.
Angelique Ricard is a 14-year-old girl in 9th grade who loves social media. In her free time, she likes to watch Netflix and YouTube. She enjoys painting and is good at writing. Her favorite school subject is English, and she plans to pursue a career as an anesthesiologist.

Yates Wong is an aspiring baseball player who is versatile on the field and a national chess player. He’s  15 and in the 10th grade. He has one younger brother who taught him patience. Yates’ favorite subject is social studies, and he would describe himself as funny, outgoing, and athletic. His favorite artist is Eminem due to his pride in speaking his mind to make a change — just like Yates.
