7 Breweries

Tin Barn Brewery just opened in Sugar Loaf in 2020 – and quickly became a popular local spot thanks to its ever-changing selection of craft beers; Tin Barn brews everything from fruity sours and citrusy IPAs to their “Homegrown Honey” ale featuring a touch of local honey.

Apex is a small, modern micro brewery that specializes in handcrafted hop-forward beers. It was one of the first in the area to start producing its own hard seltzer. And while it’s a microbrewery, Apex prides itself in offering a selection of beers that appeals to every palate.

A craft brewery based out of Middletown, N.Y. that slow-brews its beer and offers a wide, rotating selection: from IPAs to a blueberry wheat beer, to a coconut cream ale. The lead brewer takes pride in carefully sourcing high quality malt, hops and barley – and always serving brews that are freshly tapped.

At Equilibrium, they’ve got beer down to a science. As the name suggests, this brewery is all about brewing perfectly balanced beer, combining scientific principles, research and inspiration to create brews that are deliciously drinkable.

One of the first local breweries to open in the black dirt region, Rushing Duck Brewing Company is a small, family owned and operated brewery located in the Historic District of Chester, which produces a wide variety of tasty beers. Hoppy, malty, American-styled, Belgian influenced, barrel aged, sours, you name it.

Doc’s is New York’s original cider; semi-dry and wonderfully effervescent with a remarkably fresh apple nose.

Naked Flock’s ciders and meads made with 100% locally sourced New York State fruits and honey. They’re are gluten free and contain no artificial flavorings or added sugars, specially crafted to make hard cider without compromise, stripped bare, naked and pure.
